Description

pie crust and honey

Wonderfully dense and concentrated wine with a tactile

muscle and a certain amount of refinement

It's a terrific wine that I suspect will only go from strength to strength with bottle age

Peppery and meaty notes combine with ripe cherries and cassis on the nose of the 2017 Hermitage

Louis Michel, Chablis Forets Vintage:2019 pie crust and honeyHere too there is a hint of volatile acidity that is no more than a background element to the citrusy aromas of algae, apple and shellfish. There is fine volume to the delicious, lemony and succulent medium weight flavors that flash good minerality on the clean, dry and relatively powerful finish that exhibits just a touch of rusticity. This also needs to develop more depth so I would suggest giving it 2 to 3 years of bottle aging first.
